Stephen has over 25 years experience as a fund manager: Banker at European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (UK) – focused on agriculture and telecoms projects in Ukraine; head of the Société Générale Asset Management – (UK) private equity team investing in the former Soviet Union, North Africa and the Middle East; co-founder, including Equicapita, of a series Canadian alternative strategies managing ~$1B in AUM including: Canada’s first RRSP eligible farmland fund (2007), 6 closed end farmland investment funds (2007-2017), private credit fund (~$200M AUM) – industrial equipment leasing portfolio across western Canada, energy private equity fund aggregating Canadian O&G low decline, production assets (~$300M AUM). Stephen has BSc. (1987) and a LLB from the University of Alberta (1990) and an MBA (1994) from the London Business School.
