Equicapita is pleased to announce that James Hirsch has joined as Investment Manager. James’ key areas of responsibilities will include identifying deal opportunities, investment assessment and working with portfolio companies and their management teams.
James has over 10 years experience working in a financial advisory and strategic planning capacity with an extensive background in construction. As Investment Manager, James works with Equicapita’s Directors to source, evaluate and close transactions within the fund. Prior to joining Equicapita, James spent 5 years with Stuart Olson Construction where he led $200 million of mergers and acquisition activity including buy-side, sell-side and capital raising initiatives. He began his career with Deloitte LLP, where he worked with public and private businesses in energy, mining and construction. James is a Chartered Professional Account, Chartered Accountant (2009), Chartered Business Valuator (2013) and holds a Bachelor of Commerce from the University of Calgary (2007). “James’ deal experience and expertise represent a substantial strengthening of our team and we are excited to have James help us execute our investment mandate” says Michael Cook, Director of Equicapita.
